After a leisurely morning and delicious home-cooked breakfast, we went on a little tour of parts of the Eastern Shore with Dot and Richard, our hosts for the weekend.
We went into Cape Charles, where we'd played the night before. This gave us the opportunity to go back into the Lemon Tree Gallery and fully appreciate the art.
We wandered in and out of some shops on the main drag, got "lunch" in the form of ice cream, and walked out to the beach.
It was too chilly and cloudy for us to want to swim (although it did not stop others from doing so), but we did at least dip our toes in the Chesapeake Bay and enjoyed the soft sand on our feet.
We headed to the Cheriton "Fun Day" and amused ourselves with some nerf football and corn hole. Drove some back roads to see the sights, and ended up back at Dot and Richard's where Dacey and I immediately crashed for an afternoon nap.
And then it was on to the Great Machipongo Clam Shack for our evening gig. We had a good crowd!
