Virginia-based indie-folk duo, Haze & Dacey, to play in Vermont
Their debut album, Letters from Gilead, was released in November

RICHMOND, VA (May 15, 2022) – The Virginia-based indie-folk duo, Haze & Dacey, will perform at three Vermont venues during the week of June 20. Their first performance will be on Tuesday, June 21, at Du Jour VT, 57 Pond St., Ludlow, starting at 7 pm. On Thursday, June 23, they will play at Southside Steakhouse, 170 S. Main St., Rutland, starting at 6 pm. On Saturday, June 25, at 6:30 pm, they will be opening for Ursa & the Major Key as part of the BCA Twilight Concert Series at City Hall Park in Burlington.

Haze & Dacey are singer-songwriter/guitarist/pianist Kirsten Hazler and bassist/guitarist/vocalist John Dacey. The duo skips nimbly from folk-pop to alt-country to roots-rock to swing. They have been playing together since 2012, combining their love of music with their love of travel, and entertaining audiences at various breweries, wineries, and other venues throughout Virginia and beyond.

On November 12, 2021, The Haze & Dacey Collective (comprised of the core duo plus additional musicians) released their debut album, Letters from Gilead. The album, composed by Hazler, was inspired by The Handmaid’s Tale, a dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood which has been adapted into a popular television series. The collection of songs has been described as “stunning”, “a grand undertaking”, and “a riveting listen”.
